English architects did not seem ready for Corbusian modernism in the 1930s, but many emigres to our shores both built or inspired some rare inter-war modernist housing blocks. The defining features (which do not all have to be present) are:
Crittall windows in horizontal format
Deck access balconies
Plain elevations with very little decoration or detail
Flat roofs
White render finish
Anonymity of building type (could be a factory e.g.)
