I don’t know much about this yet, but clearly someone at LCC architects department in the 1930s was given a bit of rope to express themselves! As usual with the public sector expression of 1930s housing architecture, the missing pieces are any exuberance around common entrances and a disconnect of the ground floor from the (very spartan) landscape. But the balconies are glorious.
