Born in New Zealand. Studied at the Architectural Association. Worked with John Burnet, Adams, Holden and Pierson. Commenced private practice in 1932. Undertook much social housing work for the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, Guinness Trust and the LCC (as a private architect), much of which is now demolished. Returned to New Zealand in 1955 and practised until 1968.
